Our charity provides schools across the country with support for food, toiletries and sanitary products through weekly deliveries to stock up their pantry cupboards. We also support a pantry in Basingstoke which provides affordable food, clothing and other supplies to low income or vulnerable families.

Current Volunteer Positions


In this role you would be responsible for ordering food online for a small number of schools (approximately 4-5) on a weekly basis.  The schools we are providing food to have been identified as having a large number of low income children and the food we provide ensures these children are at less risk from going hungry.

Skills Required:

  • Ability to work independently on own initiative
  • Computer literate
  • Have experience with completing online shopping
  • Flexible

Time expectation:
Approximately 2-3 positions available

You would need to be able to commit to approximately 2 hours a week working from home.

In order to undertake this role, you must be happy to use your own computer/laptop and have reliable internet access.

Positions available in Corporate, Events, Pantry, Grants, Private Donations and MCKS Centre


To help raise funds for MCKS Charitable Foundation UK to support the services they offer and help the charity to grow

Skills Required: (including but not limited to…)
  • A professional and friendly manner
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Previous fundraising experience would be a bonus
  • Experience of contact with a wide range of people from a variety of backgrounds
  • Creative thinker

What does the role involve? (including but not limited to…)

You will be a member of the fundraising team, sharing ideas, creating and implementing a strategy to increase funding for the charity. In addition, you maybe asked to:

  • Develop local/community fundraising and awareness events
  • Man a stall at fundraising events
  • Put up posters or hand out flyers
  • Deliver presentations to schools or companies in your local area
  • Approach individuals/companies for sponsorships and donations
  • Attend fundraising events and collect funds on behalf of the charity
  • Input into the planning, organising and promoting of the fundraising events
  • Attend group fundraising meetings

Time Expectation:

Flexible but on average 2-4 hours a week

Positions available in book-keeping, admin, co-ordinating school volunteers, support to Director


To provide effective administrative support to MCKS Charitable Foundation UK.  Ensuring efficient running of the charity’s schools feeding programme, the pantry and general operational support.

Skills: (including but not limited to…)

  • Excellent communication skills, especially written
  • Attention to detail 
  • Time management
  • Flexible and able to multi task
  • IT literate (Excel, Mailchimp, Word, Outlook and Xero would be an advantage)
  • Problem solving skills
  • Be able to use their own initiative
  • Confidential and discreet 

Time Expectation:

6-10 hours a week (would need to be flexible and may need to work out of hours). Potential for job share

Working from home or our Basingstoke food pantry

Positions available in Social Media, Website, PR, Award Entries, Bloggers & Podcasts


To raise awareness of the MCKS Charitable Foundation UK, promote the services they offer in order to help the charity grow and increase funding

Skills: (including but not limited to…)

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Previous experience required in marketing, PR or business
  • Attention to detail
  • Creative thinker
  • Work as part of a team and use own initiative
  • IT literate (Excel, Mailchimp, Word, Outlook and Xero would be an advantage)
  • Confidential and discreet

Time Expectation: approx. 5-8 hours a week (would need to be flexible and may need to work out of hours). Potential for job share

Working from home or our Pantry in Basingstoke

All of our Volunteers are supported by our Mental Health First Aider and our team of Pranic Healing Psychotherapists
